DOJ Posts 3.5 Million Pages Under Epstein Files Transparency Act

Washington, D.C. — The Department of Justice says it has released nearly 3.5 million pages of records tied to the investigations and prosecutions of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, a massive disclosure that includes more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.

In a Friday announcement from its Office of Public Affairs, the department said the latest upload adds more than 3 million pages responsive to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by Donald Trump in late 2025.

According to a letter to Congress, records were collected from multiple case files and investigations, including work by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of Inspector General. The department said more than 500 attorneys and reviewers took part, and that the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York added an extra protocol tied to a court order requiring U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to certify that victim-identifying information would not be released unredacted.

The DOJ said it limited redactions primarily to protect victims and families, while withholding some materials as duplicates, privileged content, depictions of violence, or items unrelated to the case files.

For families, the department’s Epstein Library website includes a warning that some material describes sexual assault and asks the public to report any sensitive information that may have been posted inadvertently, an important reminder to use content filters and avoid opening graphic files around children.

Updates, the department said, will be posted on its Epstein Library page as additional documents are identified.
