Queens Families Cozy Winter Crafts & Storytime Planned This Saturday
Queens, New York — Families looking for a low-key holiday activity can bring young children to a free Winter Crafts & Storytime event this Saturday afternoon, offering hands-on fun and seasonal stories in a relaxed setting.
The program runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, and is hosted by the team at Queens Botanical Garden. Organizers say the event is designed for younger children who may have extra energy during the holiday break.
Children can enjoy simple winter-themed crafts alongside storytime led by staff, creating a warm, engaging experience without the pressure of structured programming. The event is free, and no pre-registration is required, making it an easy drop-in option for families.
For parents, the afternoon offers a chance to get kids out of the house while keeping activities age-appropriate and budget-friendly. Caregivers are encouraged to arrive anytime during the two-hour window and stay as long as their child remains engaged.
Families planning to attend may want to dress children in comfortable clothes suitable for crafting. While supplies are provided, availability may vary depending on attendance.
The Queens Botanical Garden frequently hosts family-focused programs, and parents can check the garden’s official website or social media channels for updates on future children’s events and seasonal programming.
